The oil

Artisan slow cycle, low temperature, low pressure distillation of Juniper young twigs & ripe berries harvested wild and sustainably in Southern France. 100 % pure and undiluted.

The terroir is mountainous and wild. The local variety is the low-growing, spreading variety of common juniper, known for its dense & compact growth habit, its robustness and potency.

The oil is well balanced and deliciously fragrant. It offers a woody-balsamic aroma with crisp pine-like top notes as well as spicy and fruity undertones. It has a clean and invigorating quality that's both green, warm and resinous.

Uses in Perfumery

It is an important ingredient of high-end perfumery offering inspiring versatility and depth to compose. It has lively top or mid-note that bursts open a fragrance, giving an immediate sense of freshness. It blends beautifully between citrusy top notes (like lemon or bergamot) and deeper base notes (like cedarwood or vetiver), helping harmonize the heart of a composition. Its balanced, complex and not-too-sweet profile makes it popular in both masculine and feminine scents (for those who use these relative cultural notions).

It's frequently found in Fougère compositions and woody colognes, where it enhances the fresh, forest-like character, offering freshness, structure, and a touch of wildness. It is a classic ingredient to add a natural outdoorsy vibrancy. It is of course also a classic in boozy gin inspired compositions, and shines as well in aromatic herbal blends,  Chypre compositions, or spicy oriental blends for added warmth and complexity. The Scentient Experience

In holistic aromatherapy, juniper is considered protective and purifying. It's often used to "clear" spaces (or people) energetically, similar to how sage or palo santo might be used. 

In energetic practices, it helps dispel negativity and create a sense of safety. When mentally drained, juniper’s stimulating aroma can provide a gentle energy boost.
