SINKING WILD JAVANESE SANDALWOOD FRAGRANT PENDANTS - Unique pieces

Fragrant Sandalwood pendants, made with very fragrant wild SINKING wood (Santalum album) from Indonesia.

When Sandalwood trees get very old, part of their heartwood or trunk system can transform into sinking wood: so heavy with the essences secreted during decades and decades, that the wood becomes heavier than water.

These pendant are hand made: we selected fine pieces of wood then polished them. They are the mounted by a professional jeweler we commission. The pendant's frame is pure silver 0.999, the chain is sterling silver (hypo-allergenic).

The wood is deliciously fragrant on its own, the pendant is like a little fragrant talisman.

I offer a bit of wood from the same quality with each pendant, so you can enjoy it unadorned too (and possibly heat - ideally low heat, not burn - if you want to enjoy bits as incense). If you want to test the "sinking nature" of the wood (a very satisfactory nerdy pleasure), just put the wood in a glass of water and wait a little. Some pieces sink immediately, some take a bit more time and being completely wet (just fondle them for a little while)

Each pendant is unique : when it is sold, it is sold.

I do commission new pieces (with different woods of quality) form time to time, but the periodicity is random at best.
