The Oil and profile

Fresh and bright opening, yet round and smooth; without any of the sharp or harsh notes that are charecteristic of hastily distilled / industrial oils.

Suprising pink peppercorn and grapefruit notes on top of the classic "Indian Frankincense" profile.
(Indian Frankincense = another trade  name for the resin and the oil)

After 15 minutes or so, it morphs into a warm and distinctive incense-ambery presence.

After one hour or so : only a fresh-sweet-ambery aura remains and slowly dissolves over the next hour.

The resin is fragrant and elevating and is burned as incense in religious ceremonies and worship all over India.  Salai guggal has been used extensively historically in ayurvedic medcine. Over recent years it has seen an explosion of pharmaceutical formulations in India, and increased attention worlwide for its many properties and interest for knowlegeable aromatherapy circles. Many scientifc articles are available with a simple search.
