[dilution in jojoba oil]

The dilution in jojoba oil allows to offer a full frangipani experience at a little price. The original oil is so powerful that a little goes a very long way, even in this format.

The flower of everlasting love

Frangipani, also called plumeria, tīpaniē (and dozen other vernacular names), is the Queen Flower of the tropics, deep lush gorumand floral, extrovert, sensual and strongly active on the heart. Thought by scholars to be native of the Caribbean, it travelled all the way to the Pacific via indigenous travels routes.

Frangipani is also one of the favourite flowers traditionally uses to make the lei, beautiful fragrant garlands & wreaths in found in Hawaii, and in several Pacific islands, such as Tahiti, Fiji, Samoa, Hawaii, New Zealand, Tonga, and the Cook Islands, etc.

The Oil

In perfumery, frangipani, when not from synthetic sources, is always in found the form of an absolute, never an essential oil.

The oil used here is a rarity, and a remarkable oil that transcends the realm of florals.

100%  White Frangipani / Plumeria flower organic production, directly distilled at natural / untreated plantation (Vietnam), hydro-distilled fresh, with a slow, low-pressure process
1400kgs of flower are needed to make 200ml, which is the current yearly production.

The scentient experience

Very warming, deep, grounding, incarnated, hypnotic, inebriating, soothing and a major activator of the heart energy (so it can provoke a roller-coaster of emotions at first - like good rose does)

About Jojoba oil

Of a clear golden color, Jojoba oil, technically, is not an oil but a vegetal wax. It has many  properties wonderful for our purpose here: it is one of the most stable natural carriers, it has a light and neutral smell, it barely oxidizes, doesn't seem to get rancid and keeps stable over years and possibly even decades ("25 years easily" according to Len Price's reference book on Carrier Oils, 4th edition, p. 111. I haven't tried to confirm this, but find it one of the best carrier oil for aromatics). In passing, it remains unaffected by high temperatures, so also an excellent cooking oil.

Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) was used by many native American tribes for medicinal and cosmetic uses, and infused with supernatural attributions too.

The medicinal and cosmetic uses have been well documented, and I will hopefully get to blog about it on occasion.

The drought resistant shrub is native to the Southwestern United States, but cultivated nowadays in many parts of the world. The oil is extracted from the edible acorn-like nut.
