Part of the fascination that oud generates is due the amazing diversity of olfactive profiles that it can generate, as no other natural aromatic comes even vaguely close to this diversity.

The second reason is that many oud oils are full perfumes on their own: complex, surprising, evolving and transforming for hours when worn, etc.

We collect, cure and sometimes produce quality artisan small batches of Oud oils, ranging from the (relatively) inexpensive to the very rare.

Sample kits are a great way to explore such diversity.

They also offer substantial discounts compared to individual sample prices, somewhere between 12 % and 21% depending on the number of samples and their volumes.

All oils have been cured a minimum of 18 months and often much more

All oils in our oud offerings are entirely natural, 100% pure, high quality artisan distillations & small batches. 

Raw materials for the oils come in large majority from single trees or small connected bundles of trees. Most are wild. All are ethically sourced. See each item for the specific details.

As wild trees do not exist in this cradle region of agarwood, a few Assamese oils are semi-wild (planted then left to grow without intervention in natural mixed ecosystems).

No farmed or cultivated wood, no artificial inoculation of trees, no synthetic components or adulteration in any oils EVER.

Only nature at work, and distillers 'craft.

The Introduction set (3 or 5 samples of 1,3 ml / 12% dilution in jojoba oil)

Jojoba oil is technically a vegetable wax, it has a very neutral scent, and is remarkably stable over time (it doesn't get rancid).

Discoveries - Entry to Mid range (3 or 5 samples of 0.25 or 0.5 ml )
The 3 samples set are ouds that are easily compatible with Western contexts.

The 5 samples set includes some of the singular profiles appreciated by oud lovers worldwide  but that can be divisive for others (eg: more animalic, smoky etc.). None is over the top.

All quality oils, artisan produced with care. The main differences in price and profile compared to the more pricey oils come mostly from the raw material nature, cost and selection (see each oil for specifics) and secondarily from specifics of the distillation and curing processes.

Princely Treats - Exclusive range (3 samples of 0.25 or 0.5 ml )
Oils of the next caliber(s). Raw material is older, produced by single trees or small bundle of connected trees. Only the highest grade of wood selected from the raw material is used :  wood parts that are a bit less rich in oil or white wood have been fully taken out and used for other things. 

The Full Experience (5 samples of 0.25 or 0.5 ml)
This is a wider selection showcasing the full range of the two sets above, including 3 oils from the exclusive range.

Funky vibes - (3 samples of 0.25 or 0.5 ml )
Some ouds have strong profiles with notes that are divisive: for some they are the most important ones for deep and blissful oud experiences, for others they are too strong. 

No oil here is "dirty": there might be strong lovely barn, for example, but never fecal notes. Do not order this set if you dislike animalic scents.

By default we send 2 high end barny oils and one smoky. You can ask for three barny ones if you prefer : just write to us.

The Oud Lover Set (7 samples of 0.25 ml or 5ml)
Curated to showcase the largest diversity of fragrant experiences. 

The precious oil samples are served in our 1.3 ml max recovery glass sample vials. 

The volume quantity indicated is a minimum : we honor the timeless tradition of adding a little extra in vials to show appreciation, so there is always a bit more than what you paid for (10 to 20%)
