From the famed province of Khahn Hoa in Central Vietnam, this selection of agarwood chips come from multiple trees.
I usually avoid multiple trees sources unless I totally trust the origin and sourcing method. In this case, I do. The sourcer is a venerable older man who collects his wood manually and loves his forest. His daughter sells a few woods only, from the modest house
The olfactive profile of the pieces I tried was delicious, characteristic of the region: warm, spicy and slightly sweet.
Important NoteThese chips have been originally cleaned in a less precise way than such woods normally are. I cleaned them a bit further, but little patches of extra material remain on some pieces (only on some, not on all). When it happens, this material is extremely light, so it barely affects the weight. It does not affect the heating experience / pleasure. You can see two illustration on the images galleries with pieces back and front. It is nevertheless for this reason that this is offered at a much lower price than it would normally be for a wild wood of such olfactive quality. |
The actual weight is always (slightly) above the weight paid for.
You will receive the best quality arrangement of pieces for the weight you order, never dust or scraps.
When a wood is labelled wild, we genuinely mean wild: naturally occurring (versus planted), untreated, and responsibly harvested : no tiny or young trees, nor trees with little resin. Only mature and well-infected trees // only in regions where wild harvest is legal.
