In Development
Things are always in movement: be it experimenting with new plants to distill, developing additional orchards, finding space to scout, foster conditions for respectful wild collect, sourcing, developing new collaborations, etc.
Sometimes we work for a couple of years on a new oil, to realize that we will not be able to propose it as a regular offering. It is part of the craft, and one always learns a lot from this.
On rare occasions, we also launch the distillation of new aromatics on demand from established wholesale clients.
And of course, many other things than new distillations (or raw material sourcing) are always in development too : new blends, new devices to fragrance spaces, new research (...)
Ever ongoing development : a note on oils that are listed as "sold out"
All that we produce are limited quantity batches : some are micro batches, some are bigger but none are produced on a grand scale. We strive for quality not for quantity.
A direct consequence is that batches can be sold out, and, in fact, often are.
If an oil is marked as sold oud but still appears in its dedicated collection(s), it means we are working on producing new batches.
This can take time as most distilled aromatics are seasonal and as we cannot be everywhere at the same time (so we might miss a season or two depending on our priorities).
All this means that there can be quite the time gap before a new batch is ready, ranging form a few months to a couple of years.
When a new batch is clearly planned, we indicated it at the top of the product description with a tentative date. If nothing is written, it means that it is in its preproduction stage.
You can place preorders (for bulk or wholesale quantities), if you want to hasten the process for any specific oils and/or make sure that you get the quantities that you want when they are ready. Don't hesitate to contact us for inquiries.
For unique micro batches (mostly oud & sandalwood oils) as well as attars that we cannot reproduce (because their unique ingredients are gone) it is possible that they are sold out, well, forever. They then disappear of their respective collection(s) but remain listed in a dedicated collection : The archive vault, therefore allowing for people who bought them to access to their description "forever".
Other oils remain listed in the collections, as long as we intend to keep producing distillations of comparable scope in the future : raw material from the same terroir, same process, quality and profile [or same artisan, if externally sourced].
If we ever stop offering an offering altogether, or start to produce them in completely other regions or with other methods (etc.), it will also be gone from their original collections and listed in the archive vault.
The new offerings will get an entirely new page.
